ENGINEERING MANAGER

POST PREREQUISITE:

• Education/ Academic requirements: bac+5
• Required specialty: Lead Mechanical Engineer
• Required experience: > 10 Years

DESCRIPTION OF THE POST MISSIONS:

Engineering managers play an important role in the development process of engineering projects. The responsibilities of an Engineering manager include the coordination and provision of direction to meet project aims, in addition to planning, and overseeing the technical and engineering activities of projects. Their main Tasks are described as follows:

• Responsible to the Operations Manager for the successful completion of engineering projects according to design specifications, timelines
• Directly manage the engineering team, designers & Draftsman regarding projects, and tasks in order to generate detailed designs
• Understand client projects’ technical requirements and strict timelines. Break the project into tasks and delegate work to team members.
• Interface with Procurement, Construction, and Quality Control for all engineering‐related functions and schedules.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality
• Direct, review, and approve designs and changes
• Tracking key deliverables, action items and decisions to be communicated with the relevant persons (BOD, Operation Manager, HSE Manager, QAQC Manager, Supply chain Manager,)
• Report & Review the Progress of the Project
• Develop and recommend improvements to schedules, resource allocations, and production
• Create documentation, and detailed instructions, check & approve drawings to clearly communicate engineering intent for fabricated, assembled, and wired items.
•  Assign, direct, and evaluate technical tasks
• Contribute to Establishing control systems and procedures to meet performance, quality, cost, and safety standards in collaboration with other key persons
• Establish department goals and supporting metrics based on company objectives
• Provide direct individual contributions as needed to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Lead engineering staff to ensure that design control requirements are met in an effective manner, including verification, validation, specification and procedure development, risk management, and design review
• Attend meetings with clients
•    Report any critical engineering issues to the operation Manager in a prompt manner.
